Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from the Awesome Kids!

This morning we celebrated God's Easter promise... that no matter what happens, God will always be with us. God will turn those "bad Fridays" of our lives into bright new mornings.

This morning was also extra special as we had the baptism of gorgeous wee baby Keira. It was lovely to have her two big sisters Mackenzie and Kaeleigh join us for Awesome Time.

We decorated some chocolate crackle cupcakes with mini Easter eggs (delicious!) and got crafty and created some colourful Easter flowers with chocolate eggs in the centre. Check out the slideshow below to see how we made them.

Farewell Liam!

It was a bit of a "bad news / good news" story today at Musikool Kids... bad news for us because Liam had his last day at Musikool Kids this morning... but good news for a very lucky teacher and classmates as Liam starts school next term! Wow! 

Liam, we will really miss you at Musikool Kids, and wish you very happy school days.

Awesome Challenge 5 - Bad News, Good News

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, when we hear the story from the bible about Jesus visiting a small town. It's a real good news story... the people were so happy to see him and cheered and waved palm branches. Easter is coming, and that's a bit of a bad news, good news story. We'll talk about that next week, but in the meantime here is the latest Awesome Kids' Challenge:

PART 1: Can you think of your own "Good News, Bad News" story? A time when something great turned your frown upside down? Have you ever had a terrible, horrible, very bad, no-good day... and then something really wonderful happened that cheered you up?
