Water Fun!
Last week we celebrated River Sunday with our Awesome Kids.
We made a tinfoil river and sailed boats down it - with a bit of friendly competition to see who's boat would get to the bottom of the garden!
The lawn and plants had a good water, and when we'd finished our water-colour paintings the paint-pot water was gifted to the thirsty plants too.

FISH Master Chef Edition Report
Last Saturday night was FISH - Master Chef Edition. Teams competed in crazy food themed challenges... there was an Onion Treasure Hunt, Guess the Ingredients and the Beard Challenge - which involved throwing Rashuns onto a team mate's whipped cream beard!
The penultimate challenge was to create a spectacular dessert. They had to impress some very tough judges!

Land Sunday
We celebrated Land Sunday last week... and made dirt with chocolate cookie crumble, and added lots of glorious bugs and worms (of the jelly and licorice kind)!

This was all part of our 'Season of Creation', celebrating the wonderful world we live in and thanking God for all the amazing places, plants, animals and people in it!
We just have to remember to look after our beautiful world... so we talked about recycling, not littering and not wasting things.

Pete the Cat visits Musikool Kids
Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons!
Last week at Musikool Kids, Pete the Cat came to visit.
Pete the cat loves his favourite shirt with his four, groovy, colourful buttons... but what happens when one by one poor old Pete's beautiful buttons pop off?
Does Pete cry?
"Goodness, no! Buttons come and buttons go.
He keeps on singing his song..."
Join us at Musikool Kids tomorrow to find out what happens next, and help us sing Pete the Cat's Button Song!
(I think Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons, by Eric Litwin and James Dean might just be my new favourite book!)

Hug a Tree
Today we began our Season of Creation, celebrating God's wonderful world. Today was Forest Sunday and we learnt a lot about rain forests.
Heather conducted the congregation in some cool body percussion, making it "rain" in church, then we made a terranium (see photos below).
The Chapel Street Band played and we were accompanied by resident percussionist Leilani on the rain stick which was most appropriate! Thanks Leilani!
